Pasgetti for Auspex
Bob: *comes in and offers Auspex a canister about the size of an oil can*
Auspex: *takes the container, peering at it curiously* What is it?
Bob: *shows her the writing on the label, which say that it is 'pasgetti' and then a list of the energon, calcien, and other nice things it's made from*
Bob: Nemesis gave it to me. She thought we might like to try it.
Auspex: *blinks at it* Ah, all right. Thank you. *is always puzzled by what he brings home from that place...*
*investigates with olfactory sensors*
pasgetti: *smells very good... rather 'spicy'*
Bob: *presses a button on the bottom of the canister*
pasgetti: *smells even more interesting now that it's slightly warm*
Auspex: *raises a brow* You drink it heated? *takes experimental sip. Hmm. Different... rather exotic*
Bob: *chuckles and offers her a set of sticks* Actually, you eat it.
Auspex: *raises a brow* Ahh. Even stranger... I haven't quite mastered the concept of solid energy, I'm afraid. *with a little self-deprecating smile, she glances up at him* How does this kind work, then? *she nods to the sticks*
Bob: *holds the sticks between his fingers a certain way and shows her, then fishes into the can and pulls out some long strings, his other hand goes under Auspex's which is holding the canister and guides it closer to her face. The portion held in the sticks he pokes carefully at her mouth*
Auspex: *glances up at him somewhat skeptically (as she tends to greet all foreign food), before taking a very careful nibble of... whatever the stringy things are. Not having denta makes it somewhat awkward, but she manages, processing it thoughtfully* Hmm. It is good. It comes in a rather strange form, though.
Bob: *looks in the canister* Do we have a bowl or basin? I know I have a spoon....
Auspex: There is probably one in the storeroom, though I'm not sure that would make anything any easier. *she chuckles softly*
Bob: *gets bowl, puts pasgetti in. Cuts pasgetties up into small bits, and then offers Auspex the spoon* :D
Auspex: *watches this process, somewhat embarassed that he's going to so much trouble for this. The spoon is gazed at thoughtfully, though it's a bit easier to deal with than the sticks. She successfully ingests a spoonful of pasgetti, optics bright with amusement at her own floundering*
Bob: *happily chases around bits of noodle and chunks of sauce on the other side of the bowl, his optics going bright as he tastes*
Auspex: *chuckles* You are much more adventurous than I am, my friend. It's good of you to teach me about new things. *more amused optic-flicker*
Bob: ^_^ *slight blush* You've taught me a lot of new things.
Tessera: *in the bowl!* *and happy*
Auspex: *figured it was only a matter of time before Tessera investigated. She smiles down at her with fondness* It's best to learn from those you teach, as well.
Bob: *chuckling and trying to fish small sister out of the fuel with his sticks*
Tessera: *runny away! Doesn't want to be fished! And happy*
Auspex: *laughs softly, stopping to watch with amusement* Tessera is doomed to forever sit in her food as she eats it, I think...
Bob: *leaves off the chase and has some more himself* Mmmm. I like this.
Tessera: *nomasgetti!*
Auspex: *offers Tessera a scritch as she nibbles* It is very good. Perhaps a bit too exotic for what I am used to, but it is good to see what sort of things come from the other universes. *careful string nibble*
Bob: *pauses and frets* Will it upset your tank?
Auspex: *blinks up at him for a moment, a bit surprised at the question. She considers* I don't think so. It may take me longer to process some of the more solid things from the other universes, than for the natives, but I haven't really had a problem. It's only my comprehension of them that is lacking. This should be fine. *she offers a reassuring smile*
Bob: Oh good. *intakes and calms down, then reaches into his cockpit and offers her another container* It's the sweet energon. Nemesis said something about it being a human custom to have a drink with your meal.
Tessera: *burp!* Oooooo!
Auspex: *ponders this* Considering I am used to the drink being the meal... it seems somewhat redundant. But worth a try, I suppose. *she thanks him for the energon, looking sidelong at Tessera*
Tessera: *climbing up Auspex's spoon, ready to sit on her and wash her antennae before she goes to bed*
Bob: I guess the different textures and flavors make it interesting. *eat eat*
Auspex: *pauses, stilling to let Tessera climb, before taking a sip of energon* Hm. I'm not sure they go together. *amused optics*
Bob: No? *clueless*
Auspex: Simply another thing I'm not used to, I think. *little chuckle*
Bob: ^_^ *pat pats her*
Auspex: *gives him a fond smile, another little chuckle of amusement at her own awkward exploration of new things, and carefully retrieves more pasgetti with the spoon. She'll get the hang of it eventually*
